libraryThe St. Louise School Library, led by our librarian Mrs. DeAun Green, MLS, is dedicated to creating a welcoming and dynamic environment where students can develop a lifelong love for reading and learning. The library program emphasizes the importance of literacy, critical thinking, and digital fluency, equipping students with essential skills to navigate a rapidly evolving information landscape. Through a diverse collection of resources, engaging programs, and a commitment to fostering curiosity, the library supports students in becoming independent who appreciate the value of literature and knowledge.
 
Library Overview:
  • Provides a broad collection of fiction, non-fiction, and digital resources for all grade levels.
  • Offers weekly library visits for each class, including story time, book checkouts, and skill development sessions.
  • Hosts reading programs, "Book Battles", occasional book fairs, and author visits to foster a reading culture.
  • Offers makerspace opportunities for students to hone their interpersonal and critical thinking skills in a team setting, also providing a tactile learning experience for students.
  • Open after school 2 days per week for book checkouts.
