WALK-A-THON need to know

 

Fundraising Instructions:

  1. Check your email on Friday, 4/26 for a link to your student's personal fundraising website and start gathering pledges.
  2. Share this link with your family and friends so they can pledge a flat donation, or donate per lap. Donations must be made by Friday May 10th to count.
  3. Beginning 4/26, you can also search for your student at https://app.99pledges.com/fund/2024stlouisewalkathon.
  4. Remember that this is a required fundraiser - the minimum donation per family with ONE child is $100 and for families with 2 OR MORE children $200.
  5. Don't forget... these donations are eligible for Corporate Matching!  (Matched dollars do not count toward prize levels).
Spirit Week - May 6-10
  • Monday, May 6 - Grade Level Colors Day
    • Students get a fun dress day - wear your class color! 
      • Pre -K - Light Blue
      • Kindergarten - Pink
      • Grade 1 - Red
      • Grade 2 - Green
      • Grade 3 - Yellow
      • Grade 4 - Purple
      • Grade 5 - Blue
      • Grade 6 - Neon Green
      • Grade 7 - Orange
      • Grade 8 - Black
  • Tuesday, May 7 - St. Louise Color Day - Wear RED, BLACK & WHITE - Represent St. Louise School!
  • Wednesday, May 8 - Poster Day  
    • Each grade level makes a spirit poster to carry during the walk. 
  • Thursday, May 9 - Cheer Day
    • Each grade level creates an original cheer that they will be shouting at the start of the Walk-A-Thon.  Students wear regular uniforms this day.
  • Friday, May 10 - WALK-A-THON DAY
    • Wear your WALK-A-THON T-shirt that was provided to you in class.
    • Wear FUN DRESS in your class colors.
    • Wear walking shoes with good socks.
    • Wear sunscreen and be sure to have a jacket - we will be walking rain or shine!
    • Get your pledges in - the 99 Pledges website will close tonight! 

 

WHAT TO EXPECT ON WALK-A-THON DAY

  • Students (and staff/faculty) will be walking on a 1/10th mile "track" set up in the school parking lot in grade level groups:
    • Grades PK-2 - 11:15-12:00
    • Grades 3-5 - 12:15-1:15
    • Grades 6-8 - 1:30-2:30
  • Everyone is free to walk/jog at their own pace and can stop to rest at any time - plenty of water will be available.
  • Thanks to school parent Elaina Morris and Famous Dave's Barbeque, who will provide a food truck offering Pulled Pork Sandwiches with cornbread or chips for $6.00 each.  100% of these sales go directly back to St. Louise School!  Please note we will NOT have regular hot lunch today. 
  • Parents - please come cheer on the walkers, enjoy the music and grab lunch!!

  • Most Laps/Most Money Raised Per Grade Level
    • The one student in each grade level that walks the most laps AND the one student that raises the most money will EACH receive a Free Dress Coupon, Ice Cream Treat and a $10 Gift Card.
  • Most Laps In The School
    • The one student who completes the most laps will receive a $50 gift card.
  • Grade Level With The Most Total Laps
    • Will receive a pizza party.  Note this is based on a per student proportion due to varying class size.
  • Grade Level With The Most Money Raised
